Gwen's 26th Annual Beaver Island Quilt Retreat
will be held at the charming 100 year old White Birch Lodge in Elk Rapids, Michigan.
The Lodge is nestled in the woods on the shore of one of the most beautiful
bodies of water in the Grand Traverse region. Elk Rapids is a charming northern
Michigan small town with good restaurants and fun shopping, and the resort
towns nearby offer more of the same.
Materials List: Sewing machine and basic sewing kit. Rotary cutter, mat and your favorite quilter's rulers
Fabrics: Bring fabrics you enjoy using. Think about whether you are going to make a pieced quilt with applique border or the reverse when you think about amounts, especially background fabrics. I know it's a bit of a guessing game but just bring what you think would be good and remember that fabric stores are close by.
What to Bring: Dress is casual. Bring a sweater, a flashlight, and a quilt for show and tell on Wednesday night.

let White Birch know too. If you are flying in, the closest airport is Traverse
City. Cab service to Elk Rapids is located nearby. If you want to pre-arrange

2009 Registration Form: choose from five sessions. These dates are actual class days, and do not include the arrival and departure days. We arrive Tuesday and Tuesday evening is orientation and introductions. Classes run Wednesday-Saturday. We depart Sunday morning.

Price: $400. Fee includes 4 days of class, coffee, tea, pastries every morning, and Pizza Wednesday evening before Show and Tell. We are on our own for other meals. Refrigerator available for lunch items and snacks. If you are without a car, we will get you to the stores and restaurants.
A deposit of $150 is due with this registration form with $75.00 of the deposit refundable until June 1. No refund after August 4th . Payment in full is due by July 4th. If you need to cancel, please remember to cancel your reservation with White Birch Lodge too.
